How did I miss this?! I used to use Flori Roberts all the time. It's the first makeup I ever used - from memory. Fashion Fair was different from Flori Roberts, we used to have Fashion Fair cosmetic shows every season where I lived. Flori Roberts used to find its way into the Fashion Fair shows somehow so maybe they were linked.
It was more clothes with Fashion Fair but I know they had some makeup kits, I found some old stuff in my Mom's bathroom cleaning out her old closet way in the back LOL. they just didn't take off here. Vanity Fair - I have no idea. There were so many products called "Vanity" back in the day ---

Today I started taking a collagen supplement supposed to help with hair and nails! If I see a difference I will let you know - my temple area was a victim of thyroid medication overdose.

Have natural 4c type hair, low porosity, and doesn't absorb product well. Need product suggestions to use on it,

Does anyone use Flori Roberts?... My mom likes Fashion Fair... last time she went to Dillards the makeup artist also mixed her a "DermaBlend" concealer at the same time... https://www.floriroberts.com... does anyone know if "Fashion Fair" makeup was the same makeup as "Vanity Fair" makeup... my mom always liked old jets/Essence Magazines... I think they keep relabeling one woman every where we go... I miss those Beverly Johnson days... I usually don't wear a lot of makeup since I have the other acne... like some times I use Bare Minerlas and Pro-Active... but all these ladies are beautiful... I think someone was missing out on there beauty pageant...

Hello to everyone on Nappturlality.com. I'm Rose, and I have been natural going on successful almost three years. This was my second attempt and if it had not been for my youngest daughter who was 9 yrs old who want to go natural , and didn't mind getting her long hair cut little buy little at time . Made me do the same because both our hair was very long , I had to do it because it was hair journey I couldn't let her do alone and for that reason I wouldn't had gotten this far.(:-)

Shrinkage - You've got to blowout, stretch your hair dry with some kind of gel or setting product. But you know, whenever some dampness happens, the shrinkage is going to snap back. So with natural hair, any non-shrunk style (besides locs, extensions etc) is a very temporary style.

An associate asked me multiple questions about my locks:
-How do I maintain?
-Is that all my hair?
-How do I do each one (tighten?)
-bla bla
Then went on to state that she perms because she likes versatility. She likes variety of hair styles to compliment her weekend love of canoeing/paddling )8-|on the water. Then she says she's just too lazy to do anything with it. I was confused.
If you have had locks for any significant amount of time-well you get it.....
-Versatile, check
-Lazy style, absolutely check
-Switch-upable-All day long
I chose to stay in my lane, smile and mention that it's all about perspective. It's been a while since I've had these type of conversations, so it tickled me.

There is no such thing as a stupid question where natural hair is concerned! All questions are important and we welcome any and all comments.
Hair too dry?
Hair to coarse?
Shake and go not happening?
Keeping moisture in isn't working?
Protective style trouble?
Used heat and now you've got damage?
Which products for 4c hair?
We can help! Looking forward to helping you all out.

Now that I'm 10+ years out, I'm finding that my hair is happier when I just braid it and wear a scarf. My fine hair doesn't like being loose for long, so this summer this is what I'm doing. I'll only wear my hair out for special occasions.
